Barbara Smith Worley Director
Hello, my name is Barbara Smith Worley and I am the Education Director of Blake & Milford DCC. I have a dual Master in Special Education /Early Childhood Education, and I am New York State Certified. I have been working with children for the last 12 years and I have been a director for 5 years. I believe all children deserve to have a safe educational environment to learn and grow in. My staff and I strive every day to provide an educational foundation in each child that comes through our center. I believe that each child who comes to our school will develop a love to explorer, where learning becomes fun.
Michelle Jackson Family Coordinator
My name is Michelle Jackson; I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and minor in Education. I am currently pursing my graduate degree in Early Childhood and Occupational therapy. I enjoy working with the Families at Blake & Milford and the staff.
Laniah Hollis UPK
My name is Laniah Hollis; I have completed my undergraduate degree at Marist College and currently pursing my Master in Early Childhood with dual certification in General and Special Education. I am dedicated to impacting the future by invest in one child at a time.
Ana Minaya Infant-Toddler
I have 10 years of experience working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. I have my CDA certification and I am working towards my associated degree in Early Childhood Education. I enjoys working with children learn to help them reach their greatest potential. My hobbies include painting, drawing and decorating.
Valerie Delgado Infant-Toddler
My name is Ms. Valerie; the children call me Ms. V. I am currently finishing my undergraduate in Early Childhood Education at Touro College. I love children and I enjoy spending time with them.
Marcia Kittson Toddler-Preschool
My name is Marcia Kittson; I have been working with preschoolers for 6 plus years. I have my CDA Certification in preschool, and I am currently pursing my under graduate degree in Education. I enjoy watching the process of learning from birth to five.
Alejandra Castillo Toddler-Preschool
My name is Mrs. Alejandra Castillo; however everyone calls me Mrs. Tita. I enjoy working with young children. I currently have my CDA Certification and I am pursuing my undergraduate in Education and Occupational therapy. My teaching style is very hands on, I love creating an environment that provides children to explore and where children can be creative.
My name is Miss Kris and I got my Bachelor’s degree in English at SUNY Old Westbury in 2017 and have been in education since! I have been working in childcare for the past 7 years and have spent the past 3 years as a lead teacher. In my spare time I’m a cat mom who loves to craft and spend time outdoors. In the future, I will be pursuing a career in early childhood education and speech therapy. I love being an educator and I am so happy to be able to spend my days teaching and having fun!
Mrs. Tassia Kitson
My name is Tassia Kitson, I completed my graduate degree at Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education. I have been a lead teacher for an Early Childhood center for toddler’s and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. I am passionate about helping children to become holistic individuals.
Ms. Sara Uwakwe
My name is Sara Uwakwe, I have worked in an Early Childhood for the past five years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Community health education and currently seeking my master’s degree in Early childhood education.
